^ Uh oh. haha I intentionally didn't post that picture. She looked cute on the Ellen DeGeneres show though, I think she wore a brown tunic with skinny jeans

I think that was her first public appearance (I don't count interviews as public appearances.) At first I thought she was at a costume party (it looks like the poofy, princessy dress sold as princess costumes) but then I saw that it was a screening or some sort of cast party for the Golden Compass. How did a British girl get the name Dakota?? Is my only question. I have no idea. It's originally a Native American name. Possibly her parents bought an international baby name book (I have one. Very useful.) and looked at all the different names and didn't really care where it was from, so long as they liked it. (Good strategy, I might add.) I read on one of her fansites that she got her name because her mom wanted a place name and a colour. Dakota came from a tribe or something that her mom was on good terms with and Blue was her fathers nickname. I am actually 2 days older than Dakota

"Thamks" hehe I still think her agent should've given her a stage name or something. But I guess it might be hard if it's a child, they might not know how to deal with a stage name, an alter-ego. But it can be good too, like with Natalie Portman who did it to protect her family and her personal identity. And maaaybe I'm just analyzing it way too much, lol.

yay typo! I now consider typos in the way as karma. So....what do typos look like? well, they look like something spelled wrong-this is their outer layer, underneath they look like little tea sandwiches with smiling faces!

Well, Dakota's not technically a "Hollywood" kid because she's only been in one movie and is still kind of relatively unknown. But she's REALLY not how I saw Maria Merryweather looking. Truth be told, I imagined her looking like a dark-haired Lucy Boynton (Posy Fossil in Ballet Shoes.)

I believe she was supposed to have either red hair or dark. I'm going to compromise and say dark red, lol. But I think Lucy would have been perfect. I haven't seen Dakota act yet, but I kind of hope she drops out (hopefully to make the Subtle Knife. I can't wait to see how they mess that up) and then Lucy auditions, blows them away, and is cast as Maria

Did you guys know she's also in The Little White Horse, due to come out this Christmas but obv. won't because it's too late : D Not many people have heard of this since there wasn't much publicity. It's based on J.K. Rowling's (and one of mine) favourite childhood book. They did a big competition for the main part which I entered too, I sooo wanted that part and I think that it's unfair that they get so many girls' hopes up and then a Hollywood kid gets the partquote] Actually that's the name of the book, the film will be called The Secret Of Moonacre

I really see no reason why they had to change the title. If it was interesting enough to get people to read the book, it's interesting enough to get them to see the movie.
