It's high time we had our official little rulebook, so here it is. Please note that these rules are subject to change at any time and we will update you if there's something new.
And please don't respond to this thread if you can help it, as it's distracting.
#1. Introduce yourself You don't HAVE to, but we would LIKE you to. It only takes a second and you'll get a warm welcome - what more could you want? Additionally, rude usernames (containing any references to anything sexual, curse words, or insults) will not be tolerated - you will be PMed and asked to change it. If you do not comply with this, we will ban you.
#2. Board-Related Questions Please, please, PLEASE check the Sassy Boards FAQ before asking about how to install avatars, signatures, pictures, what Karma is, etc. etc.
#3. Etiquette & Disagreements Be polite to your fellow members as well as the moderators and administrator. Agree to disagree and take any personal fights elsewhere, such as Personal Messages (PMs), email, etc. Excessive fighting will at the very least get you a warning or suspended.
#4. No Emma-bashing Duh. This is a message forum for what is essentially a FAN SITE. Constructive criticism, sure, but write anything offensive, you'll get warned or even suspended.
#5. Certain comments relating to Emma's body will not be tolerated. We are here because we ACTUALLY like Emma, and her fashion, NOT to nitpick on the flaws of her body.
You CAN say, while overlooking her outfit: "The top made her chest look too big and boxy." You can ALSO say, under the same conditions: "If she had a large chest, this top/dress wouldn't have looked good."
You CAN'T say: "She doesn't have the necessary equipment for a low cut dress," or anything along those lines. This is a fan site and there are children younger than us on this board who certainly shouldn't be seeing things like this about someone they admire. You may argue that wearing those dresses and shirts shouldn't be seen by younger kids, but Emma is growing up and so is the audience she performs before.
#6. Do not hotlink. Hotlinking is the act of taking a picture directly from its source and posting it somewhere else. (Example - Right-clicking, clicking the Properties button, and taking the address off of the screen that pops up.) This eats up a website's bandwidth and can cause a site to go down. Please upload pictures to a server before posting them here. (Instructions on how to do this can be found in the FAQ.)
Before posting or responding to anything in this section, remember that this section is for threads specifically for (a) NEW or RECENT outfit(s) that is NOT ALREADY ON THE SITE'S STYLE GUIDE - where ALL finds and/or details regarding the specified outfit(s) are gathered until further notice.
1] Post NEW or RECENT outfit(s) that AREN'T on the site's Style Guide yet.
Once the addition of the outfit to the Sassy! website has been announced, do NOT post any more information or finds for said outfit in the thread - PM or email it to the one of the administrators (Jen or myself).
Additionally, matches and information regarding older outfits need to simply be PMed or emailed to me, the admin, as well.
2] One thread PER outfit/photoshoot/subject.
If there's an already-existing thread here for the same outfit, post your details THERE.
3] When looking for a picture of an event/interview/etc that Emma has gone to, go to Unforgivable Curses or another Emma site's gallery. All new threads will be required to post a picture of the reason they are starting this thread. It's much easier to do this than to always be asking for pictures. Asking for pictures, instead of looking for yourself, requires our members to go out, get a picture, and upload it somewhere for you to see. We give you sites to go to, but nobody ever listens. So, from now on, kindly post a picture of the event/photoshoot/interview in question on the first page, in the first post of the thread. If you are on the Misc threads (we have two), then you can either post a picture, or say what interview/etc you're talking about, as it gets very confusing otherwise. ~ Laura
Again, the rules are subject to change and please don't respond to this thread. Any questions or comments regarding The Rules can be PMed to me, Nel.
