I saw a video on youtube about that yesterday (german video, so I suppose it´s no use to post it here). It said that the Chanel customerservice confirmed the results of that magazine, but that the company knows of the problem and changed the chemicals (the nitrosamines were not added, but rather originated from chemical reactions in the finished product). I never used Chanel, because they test on animals, but I understand the anger of the customers. That mascara is ridiculously expensive considering the actual value of the ingredients, so one might think that it is at least "safe". Nitrosamine are not suspected to cause cancer, they are known to cause it. And they get in the organism through the skin, not only by being eaten or anything. I only use organic cosmetics (or make my own, it´s not that hard, just less "glamorous" without the elegant packaging and supermodels to promote it ), and those tests always confirm that it was a good decision for me. Of course there are many things that are unhealthy, but I don´t want to risk anything just for my "vanity".

That vid's not posted my xKarenina, is it?! I love her, she's such a sweetheart. Cause that's how I got to know about the subject, too.
I also like to use organic cosmetic but nevertheless i own a few Chanel products, also quite an amount of Mac products but my basic are from Dr Hauschka. I'm so glad they are cause with Hauschka you can be sure not to by crap like this and as you said, Chanel is very expensive, for that price you'd hink that they'd check and recheck it a million times...

Yes, the vid was by xKarenina I haven´t watched one of her vids for month, because I don´t like her way of making them (too much self-display, too little information), but that video was good, so maybe I start watching them again. Sorry for OT *blushes* She has some vids in english too, if anyone is interested.

Organic makeup is the best way to go. I'm sure you guys are aware that there are all kinds of parabens, which leads to cancer. One time, I checked the ingredients in this little lotion bottle, and it had 4 different kinds of parabens. Plus, it was so expensive! There are a bunch of other chemicals in these products that are not supposed to be on our faces, because, those are used in other stuff, such as electronics. Seriousley, these regular products are not helping our skin, they are destroying it.

Yea, I don't really wear much makeup now anyways, just lip smackers on my lips XD I never feel like spending the money on it, but I'll definitely think about going organic next time, but its sooo expensive....

Yes it's expensive, but worth the money.
