Hi everyone, Ok, so I'm getting my hair cut on Friday and I want a new look for back to school. My hair right now is naturally blonde and short (not quite at my shoulders). I wouldn't mind trying a new colour or streaks but I need some help. I'm looking for something totally different. No mohawks though. lol Thanks!!!!

Mohawks, hihi. Are your hairs straight ? Or a little curled ? A good way to look for that is some celebs actual/recent haircuts : The bob haircut is really on treand this year. This one is really really cute : i171.photobucket.com/albums/u284/Fashion_Critic_/2008/September%202008/c2rRinkoKikuchichanel.jpg A pixie haircut if you dare. Or you can try something like that, if you don't find some more interesting change. For the color, well, if you're blond and this color suit you, I don't see why you should change that : it damage hairs to do it. But if you hair are strong, why not ? It depend on you're skin and eyes colors. If your eyes are clear and your skin can turn a little red-ish/ is a peach color, a browner color is a possibility. If you're skin is a peach color, why not try some red-ish blond or even turn red-head ? If your skin is darker, stay blond, you certainly are gorgeous. Yes, if it suit you, turning your hairs a dark red color would be a daring change...

Since you say your hair is naturally blonde, I'm guessing your skin is quite fair, I thinks red suits fair people sooo much, and it looks great on blue eyed people. Do you have a fringe (or bangs), a maybe a egdy front one, or a cute side one. Fringe's are great ways of spicing up your look. Good luck with it, and please post before and after pics.

Yes ! Before/after pics would be great. Even if you put a star on the middle of your face if that disturb you that we see it. just so we see the hairs. I love before/after pics !
And yep, if you've got a face that works with a fringe, then you should do it. And with a bob haircut, it's so cute and hedgy !

I agree with the girls, red looks great on people with fair skin, and it's such a 'turn-heads' colour! If you have straight hair, trying out bangs would be a nice change, I really love assymetrical bangs, they can really soften a look. Also, have a chat with the hairdresser, they know what styles suit different face shapes and maybe you can take some pictures with you to give them an idea of what you'd like. Good luck! ^^

Yes, you should take picture. It's always good to have an exemple to show what you want and sometimes, you can't find it in the books at the hairdresser (like me with my curly hairs : there is not a pic with a haircut on natural curly hair).`
And yes : Red Rocks ! If my skin wasn't so tan, I would be redhead since some years no. It's such an powerfull color, and you can find the good shade that match your certainly clear skin.

if you're not sure about bangs, you can always test how it'll look by holding the ends of the back section of your hair over your forhead
