Yeah, I highly doubt she'll go to school in New York. If she's worried about the paparazzi in London... ha. Just wait till she gets a load of the US. Our paps just don't know when to stop.

Columbia is definitely a good school - It's Ivy League, as well.

WHAT! I thought she was torn between Brown and Cambridge. Lol, I really don't think it's between anything. These have all just been tabloid rumors, Emma herself has not said anything yet. We've really no clue where she'll end up.

I don't think we will know untill someone see her on a campus. US is good for her because of the cursus she likes. But England is the choice she could do if she doesn't think she is ready to go all alone at the over part of the word, with an unknown colloc (as she said she will have one) and with her familly so far away. We have to wait. Their is poor and cons for both countries.
She talked about "freshman dorm". Is it the name we gives to it in uk and us ? When do people move into the the freshman dorms ? If it's in september, then it's possible we won't have news untill then. But if it's before...

I went to uni in the UK and we used to call student housing just 'student halls', I don't remember anyone really calling them 'freshman dorms' - to me it sounds more american. But it just could be the place I was, maybe people in other parts of the UK call them dorms...

haha Dan said in an interview (or let it slip) that she's going to Brown.
He tells UK’s Guardian, “[Emma's] very clever. Do you know her GCSE results? (bulges eyes) I was thrilled with mine - seven Bs, two As and an A*. I think Emma got three As and seven A*s - she’s incredibly academic, it’s frightening. Me and Rupert [Grint] to all intents and purposes dropped out of school. And she’s going to Brown.”
hmm! hopefully Emma won't be met by crazed fans when she attends in the fall. poor thing!

Ivy league schools will set you back about $50,000 per year, if not more.

All I know is that it's just rumours. She doesn't want to speak of which university she's going to, she've said in interviews that she hasn't even decided yet.

EMMA IS GOING TO BROWN : interview with Paste MagazineWell, it doesn't seam to be a fake interview... " Paste caught up with Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series, last week in London. The 19-year-old star talks about her passion for reading, growing up on set, and life after the franchise she’s devoted nearly half her life to. [...] Paste : You are off to University in the autumn.Watson : I am—to Brown, which is an Ivy League establishment in the U.S.A. I’ve got a place there to read literature." [...] Paste : Even so, some of your fellow students are going to recognize you.Watson : That’s inevitable, I suppose, some of them must have seen the films over the years. But I do hope that it will be only a short time before I am known as “Emma Watson, the student from the U.K.” rather than “Emma Watson who starred in those Harry Potter films.”" Well, she is dreaming. Brown is at Providence, isn't it ?
