hey everyone!
I'm starting a new sixth form tomorrow to start my A-levels, I worked really hard to get the grades to get into this sixth form as it is a selective one, now I have a place I am really worried about starting.
(for those in America who don't know what a sixth form is) basically it is from 16-18 year olds who have chosen to carry on with their education, it is a very independent atmosphere, a step before university.
The problem for me, is the sixth form i am starting is really big and mixed, while i have come from a small all girls school with small classes. I have been at the girls school since ll and I know how this may sound but i am really worried about the boys and how I should act.
Any tips for making friends, settling in and dealing with boys?
*karmas for help*
Thanks guysss!!!!!

#1 In order to make friends, all you have to do is start with your name. Then you start a conversation. Example:Talk about Culture. Where are you from, what are your hobbies etc. That's what I do. #2 About settling in - well I'm homeschooled so I don't know either. Sorry! #3 About Boys - All you have to do is just be yourself. If a boy says "hi" to you, then say "hi" back to him. Most boys are abit stupid, so I don't think you'll have anything to worry about. I hope this helps.

I understand your concern about boys, but what you have to remember is that boys are human just like you. More often than not less mature than you.
They won't bite (unless you ask for it.... and I don't mean it in a dirty way I mean literally, don't instigate them to violence, they'll forget that you're a girl), and if they're worth the air they breathe they won't make fun of you in any way.
Another useful tip ;D : usually when it looks like they hate your guts it's exactly the other way around so if they give you a hard time bite right back confidently! (or go with the flow... it depends on the subject right? ;D ;D ;D)

Haha yea, just be yourself and go with the flow is what I would say. Don't try to act like someone else because that will just make you feel uncomfortable are and people might not even like what you are trying to be XD
So yea just be yourself, talk and have fun. and smile at people, haha
( I should follow my own advice.... [about the talk and smile thing...haha...im too shy])

And don't be alarmed if fist fights break out between the guys, it's just their way of solving anger issues. Archaeic yes, but it works for them
