Personally I can't get enough of Scarlett - here is a young woman (who unbelievably is in the SAME age group as Lindsay Lohan) who is not famous through her family members or for being some heiress or anything like that; she has actual talent and isn't some teenybopper favorite. She's uniquely gorgeous and has an amazing, HEALTHY-LOOKING body that she flaunts tastefully in such a classy way. She's such a role model. Brilliant job on the message forum, Jen, I'm in awe! Everything is laid out spectacularly and you can really see the effort put into it. *joins immediately*

*would like to add to Nel's first paragraph*
Also...
She's not a stick.
She's thin.
But you can't see her bones.

And yet she's still so gorgeous! I love her, she's actually called the modeling industry 'sad' (lol) because the models always look so deprived and unhealthy. And it's true. It's so nice that there's someone out there speaking out about it.

Yeah, JKR's done that too (called the modelling industry sad.) Except that JKR gets slammed for it. "All her heroines are thin and she herself is thin, so she's got no right lashing out against a 'skinny-obsessed world.'" *rolls eyes* I'm considered "thin" and I lash out at our skinny-obsessed world.

JKR is not thin the way Nicole Richie or Lindsay Lohan are. They look like seriously deprived, unhealthy twigs, whereas JKR-type skinny looks proportionate to the rest of her. Some people are just skinny and that's fine when it still looks healthy. *sighs*

Yeah, and JKR's heroines are most likely naturally skinny OR she saw them as plump, fat, etc, and they were turned skinny onscreen because you can't have a fat person onscreen unless you're going to ridicule them. *rolls eyes at fat people stereotypes* I bet if JKR herself said Hermione weighed three hundred pounds, she'd still be skinny in the movies. I mean, even Dudley is getting skinnier as the movies go on.

lol True! That was one of my complaints for the first movie - "Dudley's not fat enough."

"His fat bottom drooped over the sides of his chair."
I didn't see no butt hanging off the chair bits in the movie, man. Geez, Uncle Vernon is fat enough (I actually think he's too fat, but Richard Griffiths is actually that big in real life. No offense, Richard. *hugs the honestly nice Richard*)

lol He's so funny! And I ALWAYS think of that line when I think of Book!Dudley. It's so disgustingly graphic that it sticks in your mind forever.

I know. My cousins Justin and Shawn used to be that fat (and my great grandmother used to say they were the "perfect weight") before they slimmed down. Now my grandmother says they're too skinny. Her exact words:
*snorts* I've still got baby fat and Tom's got love handles! (It was a "holiday" we made up once and we pinched him because he wasn't wearing something - I forget what - and I pinched his side and he's got little love handles, lol.) And Justin and Shawn are FAR from anorexic. They're technically considered "overweight."
