*shrugs* I will admit that I do have a high standard when it comes to writing. Hence why I don't read much fanfiction. But still... After a few chapters, I wished I could just click the back button of HBP and leave.
I think she handled the romance really bad. If it had been better written, I might have been convinced of H/G.
And I think Draco, even if he is a cowardly wuss, is too many to cry. That scene really pissed me off.

Yeah..it was NOT up to scratch with the rest. But..if you think about it, Dumbledore needed to die so that Harry would do it on his own. Otherwise, Dumbledore would do it all for him and protect him and stuff. As for Harry and Ginny...Go bad to the other books and read carefully where Ginny's in it. It's everywhere

Well, I just remember feeling somewhat disappointed. It seems to get more intense and wonderful with each book, but it just kind of fell flat for me with HBP. And then Dumbledore dying and Harry's lion-in-chest-roaring for Ginny was just a big fat glomp of icing on the cake... Oh yes, that's how I felt too. I cried for Dumbles, and for how unhappy I was with it all. I was seriously convinced someone using JKR's name wrote the book, it didn't sound like her at all in some places.

Otherwise, Dumbledore would do it all for him and protect him and stuff. I get that, but I wish Dumbledore hadn't had to actually die. Plus, they made him seem so stupid and blind. Even my mom, who is easy to please and loved the book, was irked by that. And I'm glad you think it wasn't up to scratch either. Sometimes I think it's just me and Laura who think that, 'cause I remember all the reviews saying it was "the best one yet" and all that crap.

I have. I can't find a thing other than friendshippy!love. Off the top of my head... -JKR's parents met in a train station (where you first see Ginny, and her wanting to see Harry and such is emphasised) -Harry saved Ginny's life in the Chamber..Dumbledore later says when one wizard saves another, there's a magical life long bond -In OOTP Harry concerns himself with the fact that Ginny speaks to him, and briefly speaks the Hermione about it -Then probably the biggest one is at the end of OOTP where Ron tells Ginny to pick someone better, and looks right at Harry -Ginny's character has more and more to do with Harry's in each book, to gently ease her more prominently into Harry's life

I don't see that as Harry liking Ginny. I see it as Ginny just becoming more of Harry's friend rather than just Ron's sister.
And as for Harry meeting Ginny at a train station, Ron/Harry shippers can argue that Ron and Harry met at a train station, just as Harry met Mrs Weasley, Fred, George, and Percy there.
I just fail to see H/G. I mean, it's a more believable relationship than R/Hr because they actually seem to care about each other and don't spend all their time screaming at each other, but it really just seemed so random.

It really wasn't random at all, if you just go back and really read into everything that's said and done.

It is. They're the ones who say "Hermione" rocked so hard and that PoA is the best movie because "Alfonso really got it." *stabs them*

Me as well. I have never seen one that was anywhere near as good as the book. I love them but I hate them, so there you go
